New Report on Neighbourhood-based Crime Prevention

June 6, 2012

In 2007 Crime Prevention Ottawa funded community-based crime prevention initiatives in three neighbourhoods: “Ensemble pour Vanier/Together for Vanier” through Vanier Community Service Centre, “United Neighbours” through Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre, and “Lowertown, Our Home/Basse-Ville, notre chez nous” through Lowertown Community Resource Centre. There is a now a report that tells of the impact made by each of these projects and the lessons learned. Released in April 2012, “Learning from Community-Based Crime Prevention Initiatives: The Experiences of 3 Ottawa Communities” is available from Crime Prevention Ottawa.
