Welcome to our new partner: Ontario Community Health Profiles Partnership (OCHPP)
November 11, 2022
The Ontario Community Health Profiles Partnership (OCHPP) makes high-quality, area-specific, health-related data available to everyone. Their team comprises experts in primary care, geospatial and data analytics in partnership with public health professionals, community agencies and researchers. They provide data and maps both at the local and larger areas of geography. Local level maps shine a light on health equity concerns that may be masked at larger areas, allowing policy makers to identify and address gaps in access to care.
Through this new partnership, ONS will access data on chronic disease prevalence, health care utilization, prevention (e.g. cancer screening) and other key population health indicators and outcomes for neighbourhoods in Ottawa.
We look forward to sharing data describing Mental Health and Addiction-related Emergency Department (ED) visits, by Ottawa neighbourhood.
Watch for this first release of the series, expected later this fall. Follow us on Twitter for more data release updates and explore the OCHPP website for more information!
